The Community Hall, which is situated opposite the old schoolhouse, is the focal point for village life. It is host to the local Scottish Women´s Rural Institute (SWRI), the Agricultural Club, the Craft Club, the Badminton Club and the Community Council. The hall has become a local venue for various other activities including car rallies, motorcycle club meetings, seasonal parties and dances that, over the years, have become famous throughout the region, the hall was also home to the Amateur Dramatic Club (founded 1922). Tea and coffee available during the afternoon Cost per session is £1.00 (to cover the cost of the hall hire) Everyone welcome, for further information please contact Ina Whyte Craft Club Report November 2010 The Craft Club is ongoing again. We started the first week of October. We are knitting for Dr Grays Hospital this year. They are needing babies’ jackets/cardigans (for a new born baby size) and hats as well. Anybody who wants to knit/crotchet for Dr Grays can contact Ina Whyte at the Edinvillie Hall every Tuesday between 2pm-4pm. February Report We are still Knitting for Dr Grays Maternity Hospital ,also knitting for the Queen Mothers clothing guild. There are also blankets going to the Cat League, if anybody out there has any knitted or crotcheted squares give us a ring. We will put them together and give them to the league.
